As he laid in his bed his mind raced around so many things he couldn’t put together.  Like a jigsaw puzzle his brain was scattered into a thousand pieces.  All he could think about was her…  The girl he lost so many years ago.  He sometimes wondered what it would have been like had things been different and she hadn’t cheated on him.  If they would be happy together, or if that ultimate predicament would have happened anyways.  Maybe he would have cheated on her. Or maybe they would have just broken it off because of various reasons.  He remembered only partial memories of their relationship.  Him driving her to work, them laying in bed, some of their sexual episodes, the things that young men care about.  But he didn’t forget about their more intimate experiences with each other.  Like the first time they met, or the first time they kissed… come to think of it, he didn’t remember the first time they kissed.  Hm, odd.  Yet he again could not understand what had possessed her to come to such a rash decision to drive young love to a screeching halt such as this did.  “Why would she do something this malevolent to me” he would ask himself.  He never did get a true answer, and it still bothers him to this day.  They were perfect together, made for each other.  As if they had been chosen by fate to be together, yet the world is cruel and sometimes does not want fate to happen.  After he regained his sanity from the horrid experience of a broken heart he started to think, and sometimes this can be the worst thing for someone to do.  He felt alone and scared of what he could not see, hear, know, and understand.  But he grew stronger and still had a glint of hope in his eye.  For this was not the end of the world, but just the passing of a tragic moment in a much more grand setting.  He had his whole life ahead of him, and he was not afraid of what would happen next.  He did not care what “could” happen or “might” happen, he just let “it” happen.  And you might be asking yourself what “it” is, well, “it” is anything that can, will, and could happen.   So don’t be afraid of what is yet to come but what has come to pass and take heed of the past and look to the future.  But don’t look to far, for it is a foggy road and must be traversed both carefully yet imaginatively of what you may find ahead of you.

It may be what you’re looking for…
